The Goschenhoppen Historians were organized as an educational society dedicated to learning about, preserving and teaching the Pennsylvania German folk culture. Since 1967, the authentic recreation of folk culture trades and home skills have been demonstrated at the annual Folk Festival. The Festival is presented at the Henry Antes Plantation. Red Men's Hall, in Green Lane, houses a folk life museum, a country store museum, a blacksmith's shop and research library. The restored Henry Antes house, built in 1736 in Upper Frederick Township, has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Membership in the Historians is open to the community.
