PRCF invites nonprofits and fiscally sponsored programs to apply for up to $15,000 by April 30 for projects serving Pottstown neighborhoods affected by historic disinvestment. POTTSTOWN, Pa. (Apr. 8,2026) – The Pottstown Regional Community Foundation (PRCF) is now accepting applications for the Pottstown Community Voices Grant Fund (PCVGF), a resident-led participatory grantmaking initiative that places community decision-making directly in the hands of Pottstown residents. Applications are open through Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST, and applicants may request up to $15,000. Created “for residents, by residents,” in response to community health needs identified in Pottstown neighborhoods affected by long-term disinvestment and historic inequities, Community Voices supports projects that improve health, opportunity, and quality of life in Pottstown. Through the fund’s equitable, participatory philanthropy model, residents help identify priorities, shape the grantmaking framework, and guide funding decisions. In the previous round, the Resident Advisory Council reviewed 18 applications and awarded $100,000 to eight local organizations. Those community-informed investments expanded access to mental health supports, improved neighborhood safety, increased access to green spaces and parks, and opened pathways to employment across Pottstown. “For too long, solutions have been designed for residents rather than with them,” Craig Colistra, Senior Program Officer for PRCF said. “The Community Voices Grant Fund changes that narrative, putting power, trust, and resources in the hands of the community.” This year’s grant round will support programs and projects in five focus areas identified through resident and community input: positive mental health solutions, neighborhood safety and security, education support, eliminating barriers to employment, and support for residents with chronic conditions. The fund is designed to advance a more inclusive and responsive way to invest in local solutions by centering lived experience. To learn more about the Fund, please visit: https://prcf.short.gy/CommunityVoices Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and fiscally sponsored programs that serve residents in the identified Pottstown geographic focus area. Organizations do not need to be physically located within the focus area to apply, but the proposed program or project must directly serve residents in those neighborhoods. Applications will be reviewed by the PCVGF Advisory Council, and grant awards will be announced in June 2026. The grant period begins July 1, 2026. Organizations interested in applying can review the full Request for Proposals and submit an application through the Foundation’s website. Applicants who need assistance with the online application portal may contact Brendan Stengle, PRCF Grants Manager, at bstengle@pottstownfoundation.org.
