SELLERSVILLE, PA., August 11, 2022 – Keith Hammerschmidt, a member of the Grand View Health team for nearly 25 years, has been named the organization’s Vice President of Strategy effective immediately. In his new role, Hammerschmidt will lead the strategic development of the health system’s service lines, with the goal of further enhancing access to Grand View Health’s care for people throughout Bucks and Montgomery counties. “From building stronger relationships with physicians to leading several high-profile growth projects and keeping our community safter during the COVID-19 pandemic, Keith has been a driving force in strengthening the quality of care at Grand View Health,” says Doug Hughes, RN, BSN, MBA, President and CEO of Grand View Health. “As our Vice President of Strategy, he’ll have the unique opportunity to help guide our organization’s course through the opening of our new pavilion in summer 2023 and beyond.” Hammerschmidt joined Grand View Health in 1998 as a physical therapist, eventually rising to the role of Senior Director, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. In 2018, he assumed the post of Executive Director for Strategic Projects and Partnerships. Since 2016, Hammerschmidt has served as Executive Director of the Grand View Healthcare Partnership, where he played a critical role in advancing Grand View’s relationships with physicians throughout Upper Bucks and Northern Montgomery counties. He focused his efforts on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Triple Aim framework of providing better care for individuals, better health for populations and lower costs. Hammerschmidt has played an integral role in the expansion of Grand View Health’s Strategic Alliance with Penn Medicine. He also led the construction and development of the Grand View Health Center for Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery in Colmar, which opened in July 2020, and the Pennsburg Outpatient Center, which opened in its current location in September 2020. In addition, Hammerschmidt led Grand View Health’s COVID-19 vaccination efforts, coordinating clinics for the community and employees—a program that led to the delivery of nearly 20,000 vaccines.
