February 12, 2020 - Barry Isett & Associates, Inc. (Isett), a multidiscipline engineering firm with three locations in the Delaware Valley and five other offices in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, has added seven new associates to its staff. They will support Isett’s Environmental, Municipal, Codes, and Administration departments, as well as its Project Management & Construction Services (PMCS) group. Sarah Snyder, PG, of Phoenixville, has taken on the role of Department Head of the Environmental Services department. She holds ten years of experience in the field—most recently serving Apex Companies, LLC of Exton where she climbed the ranks from Project Geologist to Project Manager. During this time, she developed a vast experience in environmental due diligence, site investigation, and remediation for commercial and industrial projects throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. Sarah is a respective graduate of Shippensburg University and West Chester University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Geoenvironmental Studies and a Master of Arts in Geoscience. She is currently working toward a Master of Business Administration through the Villanova School of Business. Scott Exley, PE, of Pottstown, joined Isett’s Municipal department as an Operations Manager covering the southeastern Pennsylvania region. He has over 30 years of diversified experience in civil engineering and company management. Prior to Isett, Scott served Stell Environmental Enterprises of Elverson as a Regional Account Manager—a position he took on following an 11-year period as President and CEO of Burisch Associates, Inc. in Pottstown. Scott is a graduate of Penn State University and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Nikens Toussaint, of Kingston, has joined the Municipal department as a Project Professional. Prior to joining Isett, he functioned as a Civil Design Engineer for Reilly Associates in Pittston and, previous to that, established the foundation of his career with Kiewit Corporation at the Lackawanna Energy Center in Jessup as a Civil Field Engineer. He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology. Since graduating, Nikens has developed experience in land surveying, engineering graphics editing, stormwater calculations, and various designing tasks. Joe Fortunato, of Churchville, joined the Code Services team as a Property Maintenance and Zoning Inspector serving the Delaware Valley. Before venturing into the world of codes, Joe enjoyed a highly decorated career in law enforcement—having worked with four police departments and served as a member of various special law enforcement units. In addition, Joe is a professional zooculturalist and member of the Zoological Association of America; in 2016, he founded Jungle Joe’s Wildlife Adventures—a traveling wildlife conservation and education program. Previous to Isett, Joe served Cardinal Point Homeland Security Group in Abington as an Armed Security Agent. He holds various certifications in emergency response, including Emergency Medical Technician, Fire Fighter 1, and Water Rescue. Phillip Prout, of Scranton, joined the Code Services team as Property Maintenance and Zoning Inspector serving the Wyoming Valley. Previous to Isett, Phillip worked for Verizon as a Solution Specialist, and he holds an additional 15 years of experience in carpentry. Since beginning a career in codes, Phillip has earned his Residential Building Inspector and Residential Plumbing certifications. Phillip is a graduate of Bloomsburg University and holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing. Dot Sweet, of Hazleton, joined the Administration department as an Administrative Assistant to Isett’s Hazleton office. Her work history is primarily in practice management; she holds over 20 years of experience leading Marketing and overseeing medical office operations, having previously worked for Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Practice Manager. Dot holds an Associate of Arts in Medical Office Management from Gwynedd Mercy University and is a graduate of the Leadership Hazleton program. Brian Niemkiewicz, of Wilkes-Barre, joined the PMCS group as an Inspector. Brian has been involved in the construction industry for most of his life—having worked in different fields including carpentry, millwork, and railroad construction. For the past ten years, he functioned as a railroad signalman and was responsible for installing road grade crossings for various railroads, including the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe railways. Prior to Isett, Brian served Midlantic Engineering Inc. of Pittston as a Transportation Construction Inspector.
