Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pottstown, PA (February 12, 2020) – Be inspired by history and create a unique printed kerchief at Pottsgrove Manor’s Block Printing Workshop. Printed kerchiefs were worn by both men and women in the 18th century to cover their skin from the sun, protect from dust and dirt, add a layer of warmth, and as a splash of personality and color to their wardrobe. Learn the history of kerchiefs and then how to make your own using period techniques from April Thomas, owner of Fashions Revisited. From floral patterns to hearts and circles, each participant will be able to take home a finished kerchief to add to their modern and historic closets. This activity is for ages 14 and up, and space is limited. The materials fee is $35 per person. Registration information can be found on Pottsgrove Manor’s website, www.montcopa.org/pottsgrovemanor. Registration forms with payment (cash, check, or money order accepted) must be postmarked by March 14. Please bring a bagged lunch.
