Dori believes in providing a nurturing, safe, non-judgmental environment that allows you space to explore the areas in which you want to find healing and growth. Dori conceptualizes your concerns through a lens that looks at not just your emotional health, but your cognitive, physical, and spiritual being as well. She believes only treating one facet of a person leaves he or she only partially healed. With this belief, Dori works first to help you stabilize your situation by making necessary changes in behavior. She then focuses on your thoughts that may be distorted or contributing to your emotional pain. If situations in your life, such as family, school, or work, are a factor in your healing, Dori will address these issues as well. Finally, issues of purpose and meaning are all very important for mental health, and these issues will be explored to help bring you to a place of wholeness and well-being. Dori received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling, with a Trauma concentration, from Arcadia University. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Messiah College in Human Development and Family Science. She has also completed an Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for work with couples. She is currently pursing licensure in the state of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Dr. Kimberly Rehak.
