Morgan helped us find a townhome in Fishtown. He was very knowledgeable of the Philly area and the current housing market. He is a hard worker and we were able to contact him any hour of the day.

I wish I could put zero stars. This mortgage company catfished the home his said it was renovated the first week the whole house flooded out. They said they would fix the damages, and it's almost a year, and they have not. Please do not make the same mistake; I may go with a reputable mortgage company. I talked to managers Linda Amsterdam and Darryl Ridgway, and all they did was lie to me. The listing agent's name is Moshay Loren Kimber. She was in cahoots with the seller. They were husband and wife, and they lied in the Home description on the company's website. DONT BUY from this company. Pick a reputable mortgage company.

Had the pleasure of working with Myra Bouvier-Hervy this past year and she honestly went ABOVE and BEYOND to help me and my wife comfortably transition from south Florida, to Philadelphia in the short time span we had to move.
This is indicative of everyone at Berkshire Hathaway as from what I've seen they only work with winners! Me and my wife absolutely love our new apartment, having only seen it online at first Myra made sure to take numerous videos and describe the surrounding areas in detail.
Also Myra stayed after the fact and made sure things went smoothly during our cross country move.
We will be contacting her again for purchasing a home in the Philadelphia area!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John W.Lancaster, PA14Nov 23, 2018
I would absolutely never recommend these people--Especially Andrew Kratz. As a tenant in a property that they have sold, they were rude, uncommunicative and cagey about answering any questions about showings. They would give no notice and let prospective buyers enter the property unattended by the realtor. It was invasive, hostile and rude.
The building in question was sold for far above market value--A plus if you're selling, I suppose. But don't expect them to give you a fair deal if you're buying. I would give these dishonest slimeballs 0 stars, If I could. Avoid.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jon Q.Gloucester Township, NJ01Jun 13, 2019
Maryam Nassiri is the worst Realtor you will ever have she is a snake in the grass and will make
It a priority to max out her pocket and line herself up before she even thinks to worry about the consumer stay far far far away from this lady terrible at everything horrible attitude just a nasty nasty lady and she cuts a lot of corners beware of house that need repair she get bums from the street to work for 5 a hour and half ass small jobs within the home just to sell buyer beware there is plenty other legit and good realtors stay awayHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karl Y.Philadelphia, PA0114Jun 26, 2018
I would recommend Paul Chin from this group. He was always available for questions and to take me around to see houses. In fact, the first day we went out house-hunting, he showed me places that weren't even on my list. He doesn't mind spending the time to find the right place for you. Paul was also really helpful when looking at homes. He'd point out things that were wrong with the place, and tell you what to look out for, basically conducting a mini house inspection.

AVOID LOOKING AT THEIR RENTALS.
Me and my wife went to see 2 Berkshire Hathaway apartments - the first one we were left standing outside for 45 minutes and the agent didn't have a key to the property or contact information for the landlord.
After this we saw one we liked the next day (after rescheduling). We told the agent we didn't have a credit score and would need a guarantor. They declined our application based on savings (which was written on the sheet we provided) but ran our credit check anyway so they could cash our $60 check. The reason we don't have enough savings in the bank is because rental companies keep scamming us with these 'credit check fees' even though they know up front we will get denied. Wouldn't use again, when you try to ask them for your money back they give you the run around and insult you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - jackie s.Paoli, PA36872Jul 9, 2017
I have never experienced anything like the attitude from Berkshire Hathaway realtors. They must all get the same training on customer service. None. I have been told by two different realtors they will not work with us unless they can call the shots and price our home what they say. We have had four realtors so far. Our homes value is
2.6 mil. Can you imagine the commission!! We have bought and sold homes 8 times and never had an issue. We loved our realtors. This was before 2010. Something is seriously wrong with these realtors.
They need to remember they are working for the seller.
They need to go to school to learn how to treat people.
They need a reality check on their own importance.
Try being humble and kind.
Ps. We used offices on the mainline.
The agent we last used was John featherman from the philly office. And we just loved him.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Toki W.Philadelphia, PA2984Aug 6, 2015
Still working with Josh Allen, and I have to say, I love it.
I had already fired one agent because she was incredibly sneaky, and just wanted to push me into buying a home. Josh isn't like that. He's patient, friendly, very knowledgeable, and is comfortable with saying "I don't know, but I can find out for you" which seems to be a rare quality in realtors.
I don't like the feeling of having an agent make decisions for me. This is why we decided to go with Josh. He functions more like an extension of the buyer. He's like a resource, rather than a leader. Remember, it's your hundreds of thousands of dollars on the line, not the agents. You need an agent who will work with you the way YOU want to work. Be cautious about agents who want to just get you into a home ASAP. A lot are like this. Not Josh though. Patience is a quality that is in seemingly infinite supply with Josh.
Currently four stars, but will likely make it five stars when we close on a home. Back to house hunting!
Update: Upgraded to five stars. Finally closed!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michelle C.Philadelphia, PA492222564420Jun 27, 2014
First time home buying is scary! Luckily, we were hooked up with an amazing agent who walked us through every single step of the process. I cannot say enough good things about Bryan Capone.
At our first meeting, Bryan sat down with us for well over an hour to discuss what we were looking for and describe the home-buying process. From there, we worked with the folks from Trident Mortgage, who share the office, for our pre-approval.
Once pre-approved we started receiving listings from Bryan on the daily. We spent the better part of a couple Saturday afternoons driving around with Bryan to look at properties in which we were interested. We revisited properties, talked about their pros and cons to death, asked a million questions and, through it all, Bryan was extremely patient, always honest and helpful and never pushy. He asked smart questions that often helped us find our own answers.
After we found our home and reached an agreement on price, the mortgage process with Trident began. I'm an extremely organized person so even though the list of required documents was daunting, I was able to quickly PDF everything, throw it in a zip file and send it along.
Everyone told me to expect a frustrating experience with the mortgage process, but our experience with Trident was at times very frustrating. We worked with a handful of people, which probably contributed to some of the confusion: lost paperwork that we had mailed in using their pre-addressed, postage-paid envelopes (the envelope was later found, thankfully), repeated requests for documents we had already sent, and general disorganization. It's amazing that people can actually hold down their jobs while trying to secure a mortgage - everyone who warned me that it would be a huge headache and very stressful process was not kidding.
Finally, closing day came. Signing boatloads of papers was actually a joy because it meant the whole long process was coming to an end! Getting the keys to our new home was one of the best moments of my life.
There are still some minor things with our home that have to be taken care of by the seller, and Bryan has been great about keeping in touch and keeping us in the loop. After all is said and done, I'd definitely recommend Bryan to anyone in the market for a new home. Since this review is technically for the real estate side and not the mortgage side, I'm going with five stars. However, if you have a recommended mortgage broker, perhaps you'd like to shop around instead of defaulting to the in-house.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0
